Network Connect launch failure when the DisableDHCPMediasense registry key value is set to one.
Cause
Solution
To manually change the value of the registry key, perform the following procedure:

  1. Click Start, Run, and in the Open field, type regedit; the Registry Editor window is displayed.
  • Locate the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

  • Check the value of DisableDHCPMediasense and ensure that it is set to zero (disable); not one (enable). Even if no value is set, Network Connect will launch successfully.
  • Re-boot your PC and then Launch Network Connect.

Note: it is strongly recommended to take a backup of the Registry, prior to performing this procedure.
