Synopsis
This article provides information on how to configure Host checker process check using wildcard value
Problem or Goal
Cause
Solution
If the PCS admin wants to block or allow, any process with a specific string, perform the following steps:
  1. Login to the admin console
  2. Navigate to Endpoint Security > Host Checker
  3. Under Policies, click New
  4. In the policy name field, enter a policy name
  5. From the tabs, select the operating system platform
  6. Under Rule Settings, select Custom: Process
  7. Click Add
  8. In the Rule Name field, enter a friendly name
  9. In Process name field, enter the string value
  • The " * "value can be prefixed or suffixed and this process is only needed when there is a need to allow/block process with similar naming conventions only.
  1. Select the radio button for Required or Deny depending on the need.
