Synopsis
This article describes an issue where Pulse Secure Desktop client installation rolls back with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 software is installed.

Problem or Goal
When attempting to install Pulse Secure Desktop client and Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 software is installed with Enable Device Control enabled, the following message will appear:
Pulse Secure Setup Wizard ended prematurely
Cause
This issue occurs due to Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 software has specific restriction for external network adapter when device control option is enabled. 

This option was designed to restrict the third party network adapters from being installed. 

 
Solution
After investigation, Pulse Secure found that disabling the device control option, this does not resolve the issue.

Workaround:

  • Uninstall Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 software prior to installing the Pulse Secure Desktop client software.  Once the installation is completed, end user may install the Kaspersky Endpoint Security software again.
