Synopsis
This article provides information about the recommended steps when upgrading vTM.
Problem or Goal
Cause
Solution
  1. Determine what platform is being upgraded. The options can be:
  • Virtual Appliance
  • Cloud Service (e.g. Amazon EC2, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
  • Appliance Image
  • Software Install
  1. Select the correct Getting Started guide for the specific platform at Pulse Secure Techpubs
  2. Utilize community resource page for Upgrading and reinstalling vTM 
  3. To upgrade an older 32-bit instance to version 9.6 or later, install a new 64-bit instance and import the configuration into the new version. For more information creating and importing configuration backups, see the User Guide at Pulse Secure Techpubs.


Note: It is recommended to review the Release Notes at Pulse Secure Techpubs. Included in the Release Notes are the following:

  • Platform Availability
  • Resource Requirements
  • Improvements from previous versions
