Pulse Secure (and VMWare) recommend that the ESX host is configured to synchronize to a local NTP server.  Once configured, the virtual Traffic Manager Virtual Appliance (and other Virtual Machines) can be configured to use the ESX host as the local clock source.

To configure NTP on the vTM, perform the following steps:

  1. Login to the admin console
  2. From the top menu, click System > Time
  3. Under NTP settings, in the Add Server field, enter a new NTP server

The STM uses the built-in NTP which conforms to standard Linux NTP. For the algorithm and behavior of NTP in Linu, please click here.
