Synopsis
When trying to add an Active Directory authentication server, the following error message is displayed:
You cannot change the password of the IVE computer account on the active directory server using the specified administrator credentials.
Problem or Goal
PCS device/Infranet Controller administrators have reported that whenever they configure an Active Directory/Windows NT server instance, after clicking either Save changes or Test configuration, the following error message is generated:

You cannot change the password of the IVE computer account on the active directory server using the specified administrator credentials.

Cause
Solution
To resolve the issue, check:

Whether the Administrator account, which was specified on the Server instance, has the appropriate level of rights to add computer accounts into the Domain Controller.A domain admin account is suggested.

Also check if the PCS/ Infranet Controller and Domain Controller time and time zone are synchronized.
