Starting with PCS 8.2R4 and Pulse Mobile for iOS 5.2R4, Touch ID is supported to allow end users to login to the PCS device.
For this feature to work, the PCS administrator must enable this feature on the PCS device. If this option is not enabled on the PCS device, end users will not be able to enable this option in the Pulse Secure app and the option will be grayed out.
- Login to PCS administrator console.
- Navigate to System > Configuration > Mobile or User Roles > Users > General > Restrictions > Mobile
- Under Touch ID Support for iOS devices, click Enable.
- Click Save Changes.
Once this feature is enabled on the PCS device, end users will have the option to enable the Touch ID feature after the next successful authentication.
- In the lower right hand corner, click the menu option.
- Click Settings.
- Select the toggle button next to Touch ID.
- Once this feature is enabled, end users will get the following prompt to save credentials during the next successfully authentication.
- After selecting Yes, any future authentication attempts will prompt for the end users touch id.
Note: The Touch ID feature supports only username/password authentication.
Disable Touch ID from Pulse Secure Mobile app
- From the Pulse Secure Mobile app, click Menu button (on the far right bottom)
- Click Settings.
- Next to the Touch ID option, select the toggle button.
- A message prompt will appear. Click Yes.
