Synopsis
This article describes an issue where the Pulse Desktop Client Uninstall shortcut does not appear on Start menu on first time installation
Problem or Goal
On Windows 8.1 and above, uninstall shortcut for Pulse client will not appear when the client is installed for the first time.
Cause
Upon installing pulse client, Pulse will create uninstall/repair shortcuts in folder  <C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Pulse Secure>.
Once the application is installed on a PC, then it is the job of Windows APIs to search for application & pick up shortcuts from these location and display it on the start menu. This worked properly in earlier operating systems.  However, in  Windows 8.1 & Windows 10 operating systems, the Windows API is unable to do this function properly and as a result "Uninstall" shortcut doesn't gets displayed on the start menu right after installation
Solution
As this issue is caused due to Microsoft behavior there isn't a solution available from Pulse Secure.

However, to workaround the problem, run the REPAIR option in Add/Remove programs for the pulse client software installation.

Performing the "Repair" option on the Pulse client software, the Windows API is able to detect these shortcuts & display them on start menu
