After purchasing any Pulse Secure product(s), two documents will be provided to the billing contact on the purchase order.
  • Service Contract Certificate - Document stating type and length of the software and hardware service contracts purchased
  • Right To Use Certificate - Document stating the authorization (auth) code and type of license purchased

Example of RTU:

The billing contact should forward the Right To Use (RTU) certificate to the administrator of the Pulse Secure device as the Authorization Code is required for one of the following reasons:
  1. Pulse WorkSpace (PWS) / Pulse One - Authorization Code needs to be inputted directly in the console to install PWS or Pulse One licenses.
  2. Pulse Connect Secure (PCS) / Pulse Policy Secure (PPS) - Authorization code needs to be inputted to the Licensing and Download Center (https://my.pulsesecure.net) to generate a license key.  Once the license key is generated, the administrator can input this string in the PCS/PPS console to install the license.
Please contact your finance or billing department to obtain the RTU certificate or please contact Pulse Secure Support at 1-844-751-7629 for assistance.

For PWS / Pulse One instructions, refer to KB40558 - How to install licenses on Pulse One or Workspace
For Pulse Connect Secure / Pulse Policy Secure, refer to KB40032 - [Customer Support Tools] How to generate a license using the Licensing & Download Center at my.pulsesecure.net
