« Go Back

Last Modified Date4/20/2017 6:15 PM
This article provides information about utilizing a single certificate for multiple sign-in url's when connecting to a Pulse Connect Secure (PCS) or Pulse Policy Secure (PPS) device.
Problem or Goal
To resolve this issue, one of the following methods can be used:
  1. Obtain a device certificate (from a certificate authority) with multiple Subject Alternative Name (SAN).  This type of certificate is best suited when each domain name is not utilizing the same parent domain name.  These certificate may also be called Unified Communications Certificates (UCC) attribute.
  2. Obtain a wildcard certificate from a certificate authority.  Wildcard certificate will cover multiple child domains that are using the same parent domain name.

Note: Please note SAN or UCC attribute based certificate cannot be created using the CSR option available with PCS device. Please refer KB20609 - Does PCS device provide support for the creation of a certificate with the subject alternative name (SAN)?.
