Synopsis
This article describes an issue with Pulse One where adding a PCS appliance or pushing the configuration from the master to a group of appliances fails and the Pulse One Appliance Activity section displays error "Import Failed to render new configuration: Invalid predicate."
Problem or Goal
This issue can occur under the following scenarios:
  • A PCS device has being added to Pulse One but during the registration phase, while the device config is being published, the operation fails and the device does not get connected.
  • A Master device has been modified and the required "Publish to Group" operation fails to a groups of PCS devices.
When the publish operation fails, the Appliance Activity section will display the following error:

"Import Failed to render new configuration: Invalid predicate."
Cause
This issue occurs when bookmark names in the PCS device contain a single or double quote in the bookmark name, or a new bookmark is added to the master device that contains a single or double quote in the bookmark name.
Solution
This issue is fixed in Pulse One version 2.0.1708.1 and up.
If using the Pulse One on-premise solution, upgrade to the latest version of the software
If using the Pulse One SaaS solution, the fix has been deployed
