Synopsis
This article provides steps to determine whether the Virtual Appliance (Service provider edition) is configured as Virtual License Server (VLS).
Problem or Goal
Cause
Solution

Check for Configuration Licensing menu options.

In a VA SPE client license page:

  • Under Licensing, the option for Configure Server will appear.
Missing Server Option 

In a VLS server license page:
  • Under Licensing, the option for Configure Clients will appear.
With VLS options

Note: Once a VA-SPE is configured as a Virtual License Server, the option for Enable Licensing server option does not exist (similar to a physical license server).
