Information

Last Modified Date10/3/2017 10:45 PM
Synopsis
This article describes about the issue where Connection set XML import fails.
Problem or Goal
When performing an XML import, the following error message will appear:
[/users/junos-pulse/connection-sets/connection-set
[name=Default]/connections/connection
[name=SA]/options/option
[tag=connection-lock-down]/description]
Cannot set 'description' after object creation

Note: This issue also occurs when publishing configuration from Master to other Group appliances via Pulse One.
Cause
The issue occurs due to Connection set xml import failure. If the source and target device has a connection set with the same connection name, this issue will occur.we had updated the description of an existing option ‘connection-lock-down’ in .cc file, but corresponding description had not been done in upgrade function which caused mismatch in description.

This issue occurs when one of the following conditions are true:
  1. Import from 8.1R10 / 8.1R11 to 8.3R1
  2. Import from 8.2R5 to 8.3R1 (Import fails if 8.3R1 has a new connection with the same connection name as in 8.2R5)
  3. Import from from one device to another and both devices running 8.3R1
This issue only affecting XML import and does not apply to binary configuration import.
Solution
To resolve this issue, please upgrade to the 8.3R3 code which is available for download.
