This article describes an issue where end user is unable to reach the local loopback address when lock down mode is enabled with Pulse Secure Desktop client for macOS, but this does work with Pulse Secure Desktop client for Windows.
Problem or Goal
When attempting to reach the local loopback address when lock down mode is enabled with Pulse Secure Desktop client for macOS, the end user is unable to connect to the following resource. Once the VPN tunnel is connected, the end user will notice they are able to connect to the local loopback.
Cause
This issue occurs due to the local loopback address is denied by default when lock down mode is enabled. This issue only impacts Pulse Secure Desktop client for macOS.
Solution
To resolve this problem, please upgrade to Pulse Secure Desktop client 9.0R3 and above. This is available now at https://my.pulsesecure.net.
