How to change Pulse One (On-Prem) Web Admin Password if SMTP email is not received due to SMTP issue or not properly configured?

Procedure for resetting Pulse One (On-Prem) web admin password if SMTP email is not received due to SMTP issue or not properly configured.
Problem or Goal
The goal of this article is to suggest a workaround to reset the web admin password if SMTP is not working or configured properly.
Cause
Solution
Note: The previous solution provide in this KB is only for releases prior to 2.0 major release.  It is not possible in newer releases to see the change password URL from the "services logs" output.

As best practice, it is recommended to create multiple web admin accounts so that there is a backdoor in the instance a password is forgotten, or ensure that SMTP works.  When password is locked, it is locked permanently.

There is an ongoing effort in engineering to improve on web password management, but for the meantime, the only way to reset the password is to create a support case and reset the password via system debugging session with a developer.

UPDATE 11/12/2020:

Pulse One 2.0.2003 recently released has the web password management improvement stated previously.
To change a web admin password, you can use this command:

Pulse One > p1 domain admins password reset <Admin_Name>
Example:
PASSWORD RESET

After resetting, login to web admin and use the local web user password provided and it will log admin in and will prompt to change password:

LOGINPROMPT

Then reset password:

NEWPASSWORD
