KB44310 - Duplicate MAC Address resulting from having multiple interfaces in the same IP subnet

Synopsis
This article outlines an issue with Pulse One and the internal and external interfaces being configured on the same subnet.
Problem or Goal
During the initial configuration of Pulse One, if you create internal, external and management interface to belong to the same subnet this would result in MAC address duplicated for internal and external interface as shown below.  This will create an issue where packets that should be transmitted from the internal interface could actually be transmitted from the external interface.  It could also possibly cause the management interface on the other side of the clustered node to be unreachable and therefore unable to establish ssh session.

Cause
This is due to the virtualization of the stack.  It is designed this way and is not going to be changed.
Solution
Use different subnets for each of the three Pulse One interfaces (internal, external and management).
