« Go Back

Last Modified Date7/18/2020 5:23 PM
This article describes an issue where SNMP polling does not return the correct Pulse Connect Secure model information.
Problem or Goal
Prior to the 9.1R6 release, the device type sysObjectID and sysDescr.0 SNMP MIBs would return a Pulse Secure specific type like "iveProductPSA7000c" and "Pulse Secure, LLC,Pulse Connect Secure, PSA-7000f, 9.1R5 (build 5459)"; now it returns a generic Linux ID without a description.
This has been identified as an issue in releases 9.1R6 and up.
The fix for this issue is included in 9.1R8.1 which is released, please refer release notes and will be included in 9.1R9 tentative Mid October 2020.

PRS-392254 SNMP polling was not returning false PCS Model Number and device type. This is addressed in 9.1R8.1

The following OID can be used to find the required information:

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.12532.7.0 = STRING: "9.1R4 (build 4763)

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.12532.6.0 = STRING: "Pulse Connect Secure,PSA-5000
