Synopsis

After Upgrade of Pulse One to version 2.0.2002, Admin is Unable to Create Appliance group ("Finish" button is greyed out)

After upgrade of Pulse One to version 2.0.2002, Admin is unable to create appliance group whereas it was possible to do so using same name before upgrade. After the upgrade it is noticed that the "Finish" button is greyed out.  This happens when non-alphanumeric character is in the first name of the hostname FQDN.
Problem or Goal
See below screenshots showing examples of working and non-working formats for the URL field of the Master appliance being used for the Publish group:

Cause
The root cause of this issue is the way the Master node URL is crafted, in the past, all characters is allowed.
Due to a bug in URL validation, only alphanumeric characters are allowed.  This is not desired.

To workaround this issue, edit the URL fields for the Master appliance and remove any non-alphanumeric in the first name of FDN as follows:

VALID FORMAT:

VALID FORMAT OF FQDN
 
Solution
The current release is 2.0.2002. The issue will be resolved in Pulse One 2.0.2003 which is a future release. Refer back to this KB for updates.
