Ivanti Secure Access iOS Client : External release of 22.2.1 Ivanti Secure Access iOS Client

Their active participation is important as they get to validate the upcoming release in their deployments, and provide early feedback to Ivanti, on ways we can improve the experience for you and your user base.

This article provides information about the external release of Ivanti Secure Access iOS Client 22.2.1
Problem or Goal
1. When does Ivanti plan to release the 22.2.1 Ivanti Secure Access iOS Client?

Ivanti is planning to release Ivanti Secure Access iOS Client 22.2.1 to production (App Store) by Aug 1st week, 2022.

2. How do you apply for beta program ?

If not registered already, interested users and organizations can register for the beta program by sending an e-mail to
[email protected] using your Apple ID & Organization Name.

3. If I find an issue, will Ivanti support assist ?

Yes, during beta testing, if any issue is found, you can send an e-mail to
[email protected] with a description of the issue and supporting data like a video, steps to replicate issue, screenshots and Ivanti Secure client logs.

4. When does Ivanti plan to release the external beta Client 22.2.1 for iOS?

Ivanti has released the iOS 22.2.1 beta client for testing on July 7, 2022.

 
Note:  Beta closes on July 15, 2022.

The key highlights of this release are:
  • Product Stabilization.
  • PIOS-4292 – New-UX For Ivanti Secure Access iOS Client.

Classic:

  • PIOS-4833  - Device ID Validation Support ( 9.1R16 ICS requires to enable this feature)

ZTA:

  • PZT-29028 - MFA support
  • PIOS-4234 - IFTTLS for PZT
Customer Bug(s):
  • PRS-406344 - Issue when connecting to Ivanti Secure Access Client from iOS devices, where the connection works for some users and the same is not for others.
  • PRS-412208 - An unexpected VPN state change occurred upon adding a second connection. Now this state change is handled gracefully.

Known Issues:

  • PIOS-5397 - Secure access App crashed consistently when trying to connect with VPN disabled in PCS.
    Workaround: Enable VPN Feature button in ICS Role.
  • PIOS-5340 -  On iPad , Need an Extreme Long swipe to connect and Disconnect.
    Workaround: Swipe and click the button to connect or Disconnect.
  • PIOS-5325 - Voiceover is not supported for New UI/UX screens. 
    Workaround: Switch to Classic UI to Make use of Voice Over support.

Steps to Switch App UI Settings:

  1. New UI to Classic:
Go to Settings ->  Disable New Look & Feel button -> Click ok on the Message ->  Relaunch the App to see the Classic UI.

       2. Classic UI to New UI:

Go to Settings ->  Enable New Look & Feel button -> Click ok on the Message ->  Relaunch the App to see the New UI.

Note: Due to an issue (PRS-412208) reported during 22.2.1 Beta phase, Beta testers would have received a newer version (22.2.1.90503) which contains the corresponding fix. This new Beta client will make it to the App Store (App) during the 1st week of August as Ivanti ENG teams have completed end-to-end validation.
