Synopsis
This article specifies the list of features that will be deprecated in PCS/PPS after 9.1R13 Release.
Problem or Goal
To improve stability and overall security posture in Pulse Secure gateways, Ivanti has decided to deprecate a set of features.
Deprecation list includes older versions of applications, authentication servers and few other features listed below.
This helps streamlining support to newer versions of applications and makes it more secure and stable.
  • What are the features getting deprecated in PCS?
  1. Authentication Servers:
  • Netegrity/Siteminder auth server
  • NIS auth server
  • Anonymous auth server
  • LDAP - Novell Edirectory Server.
  • LDAP – iplanet server
       2. Older version of rewriter applications.
  • Citrix web interface/JICA
  • Citrix Storefront(below 3.1 version)  
  • Microsoft OWA 2000, 2003,2007
  • Lotus inotes 5, 6, 6.5
        3. Sensors feature in PCS.
        4. Cloud Application visibility
        5. Telnet/SSH Resource profile
        6. UNIX(NFS) file share
        7. SDP feature in PCS
        8. Cache Cleaner
        9. PCS Wizards Note: Only basic authentication policy wizard.
      10. Host Checker (HC) for Solaris
      11. Pulse Collaboration

       1. Authentication Servers.
