Synopsis
This article describes the conditions due to which a Blue Screen of Death is observed on Windows Endpoints when FQDN DNS Split DNS is enabled.
Problem or Goal
FQDN Split DNS server feature has been introduced from 9.1R15 release.

This feature allows splitting the DNS traffic between Physical Adapter’s DNS server and the Virtual Adapter’s DNS server. This feature is disabled by default. To enable this feature, navigate to System --> Configuration --> Advance Client Configuration and set the value as:

<enable-SplitDNS-driver>true</enable-SplitDNS-driver>

A Blue Screen of death may be witnessed intermittently during the course of the L3 connection on systems running AVs such as Symantec/McAfee.
Cause
Issue is caused due to an interoperability issue between SplitDNSFilter driver and other 3rd party drivers.
Solution
Ivanti Pulse Secure is aware of this issue and working towards a resolution.

In the meantime, please disable FQDN SplitDNS until a permanent fix is available.
