Synopsis
This article explains the cause and solution for issue in resetting the TOTP user using REST API
Problem or Goal
Cause
This issue is seen in 22.1R6 because one of the commit was missing in that. The API is not working because of the migration from python2 to python3. This issue is already fixed in 22.2R1 builds.
 

 



     
    Solution

    Normal Behavior:
    • REST API URL: https://<pcs-ip>/api/v1/totp/<TOTP-AUTH-SERVER-NAME>/users/<totp-user>?operation=reset
    • Result: "message": "TOTP user 'test' under Authserver 'TestTOTP' has been reset


    The issue on 22.1R6 (build 575)

    • RESTAPI URL: https://<pcs-ip>/api/v1/totp/<TOTP-AUTH-SERVER-NAME>/users/<totp-user>?operation=reset
    • Result: "message": "Internal Server Error"

    Workaround: NA.

    The engineering team has identified the bug and has fixed it in 22.2R1 release builds.
