KB44120 - OnDemand VPN support for other EMMs

This article describes the configuration needed to enable the OnDemand VPN support for other EMMs in 7.2.0 Pulse client for Android

Currently Vpn OnDemand is only supported through Pulse Workspace. Other EMM Vendors wanted to use this feature with work profile provisioned by them. 

Limitations :

• IPv6 traffic from apps is currently not supported to trigger VPN setup.We are planning to add support for the same in future.

Configuration

Following Parameters should be configured by the EMM Vendor to setup a Vpn On Demand profile:

AppVPN Action: 0 (To allow/whitelist) / 1 (To deny/blacklist)

AppVPN Packages: CSV for package identifiers to whitelist/blacklist eg. com.chrome.android, com.android.dropbox

Authentication Type: 1 (Certificate Based)

Certificate Alias: The client certificate alias

Profile Name: Any

Route Type: 1 (Per App)

URL: PCS url

VPN Trigger Type: 1 (On Demand)
