Synopsis
This article provides details about Error 1168 "CreateUnicastIpAddressEntry failed" in client log, when IPv6 pool is setup in VPN Connection Profile.
 
Problem or Goal
Pulse client fails to connect to VPN and client debug log shows the Error 1168 "CreateUnicastIpAddressEntry failed".
 
Cause
Even if the internal port has IPV6 enabled and valid address configured, also VPN Connection profile with an IPv6 address pool configured on PCS. Below error is still seen in client debug logs:

Solution
To resolve the issue, modify the Disable IPv6 on all tunnel interfaces value to "0" under below registry settings.
 
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters\
