Synopsis
This article provides information on how to prevent rooted Android phones from connecting to the PCS device.

Cause
Solution
Starting with PCS 7.2, you can configure Host Checker to perform a check if a Android device is rooted.
  1. Go to Authentication > Endpoint Security > Host Checker.
  2. Under Policies, click New. In the Policy Name field, type the name of the policy and click Continue:

  3. On the next page, click the Mobile tab and then the Android tab; From the Select Rule Type drop-down menu, select Rooting Detection and click Add:

  4. On the next page, in the Rule Name field, type a name for the rule. Under Criteria, select the Don't allow Rooted devices checkbox:

  5. Click Save Changes. This policy will be included as part of the Realm/Role level host checks.
