Synopsis
This article helps in configuring LDAP authentication server with multiple attributes for user login using a conditional operator.
Problem or Goal
Configuring LDAP authentication server with multiple attributes for user login. (Conditional operator)
Cause
Solution
The LDAP authentication server can be configured to accept multiple attributes for user login; such as sAMAccountName or userPrincipalName.  To do so:
 
  1. Navigate to Authentication > Auth. Servers
  2. Click on LDAP Server from (select server type) the drop down box
  3. Under Filter for Finding user entries enter the following string:

    (|(userprincipalname=<USER>)(sAMAccountName=<user>))

    Example:



    Where:
    • | is an OR condition
    • & is an AND condition
