A Pulse Secure client must be bound to a PCS device in order to get configuration and connection settings from the PCS device. Hence, it is important to ensure that the Pulse Secure client is bound to a proper PCS device. To locate the server ID on a Pulse Secure client, go to the computer running Pulse and follow the steps below:
- Go to C:\\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Pulse Secure\JAMUI, and click on the file pdv.exe
This will open the Pulse diagnostics window.
- Under "Active Connections", select any connection and click on the Connection Store tab in the right panel.
The window display will be similar to the lines below. The Server ID is shown in red.

The server-id is identical to the PCS Licensing Hardware ID at
Configuration > Licensing.
