Synopsis
This article provides information on how to transfer the server certificate from an old SBR server to a new one.

Even after importing the XML file and the customized files (from the old server), the server certificate will not be available on the new server; it will not be included in either of these.
Problem or Goal
How to transfer the server certificate from an old SBR server to a new one.
Cause
Solution
In order to get the server certificate transferred from an old SBR server to a new one, the following procedure needs to be performed:
 
  1. Logon to the old SBR server and browse to the following location:

    Windows Installation:
    C:\Radius\service\ROOT (5.4.x version)

    or

    UNIX Installation :
    /opt/funk/radius/ROOT (5.4.x version)


    or
     
    /opt/JNPRsbr/radius/ROOT (6.0.x and 6.1.x version)
 
  •  

    Copy the server_certificate.pfx file and move it to the new server.
 
  • You will be prompted to enter the password set for the the certificate's private key. After the password is typed, the certificate will be installed.
