Solution
The self signed certificate can be created only through the serial console access of the PCS or PPS device. Please follow the steps below to create a new self signed certificate:
  1. Connect to PCS device through serial console access
  2. From the list of options, select 4. System operations
  3. Select 7. Install self-signed certificate
  4. A prompt to install a newly-created RSA self-signed certificate on the internal port, enter ‘y’ to confirm the request.
  5. Provide the certificate information (Common name, company/organization name, company address, Random key) on the next steps to generate self-signed certificate.
Note:  Pulse Secure does not recommend the self-signed certificate as a permanent solution for any production devices.  The recommendation is to purchase a device certificate from a public ca or utilizing a internal ca.
