By default, Pulse Secure Desktop client is designed to use the standard login prompts.  Starting in 8.2R3 and above, a new option was add to change the default behavior of the Pulse Secure Desktop client to utilize the custom sign-in pages (similar to the experience via a web browser).
  1. Login to admin UI
  2. Navigate to Authentication > Signing-In > Sign-in Policies
  3. Select Sign-In Pages tab
  4. From the list, select the Duo Customized Sign-In Page (if already uploaded)
  5. Select the checkbox for Use Custom Page for the Pulse Desktop Client Logon

When this option is enabled, the end user will be prompted with the Duo pages (similar when accessing via a web browser).  Additionally, Pulse Secure Desktop Client should be configured for auto-launch by navigating to User role > [User role] > VPN Tunneling, then select the checkbox for Auto-launch.
