Synopsis
This article provides information on how to add an Android application that is available on the Google Play Store but does not show in the search results.
Problem or Goal

The Pulse Workspace administrator would like to add applications for the Android users to install
When the application is searched, it does not show in the list of available applications (though other applications with similar names appear)
When the same application is searched on a device or through https://play.google.com/ it is available

Cause
Solution

The application should be added to the Android Enterprise/Android for Work console manually and then added from the Pulse Workspace Console
This is achieved by doing the following:

  1. Login to https://play.google.com/work with the same Google Account used for the Pulse Workspace Android Enterprise connection
  2. Click My managed apps
  3. Search for the desired application
  4. Click Approve
  5. Click Save
  6. Login to Pulse Workspace Console
  7. Click Application list
  8. The application should be present to be added to specific policies
  9. Add the application to the proper policy and deploy as usual
