Synopsis
The article describes the issue where pulse secure service does not start automatically.

The following error can be observed in client debug logs and system events logs.

The PulseSecureService failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Error,2022/04/27 14:26:22,Service Control Manager,7009,None,
'A timeout was reached (450000 milliseconds) while waiting for the PulseSecureService service to connect.'

Solution
The following steps will resolve the issue.

1>Press Windows key + R to open up a Run dialog box. Next, type ‘regedit’ inside the text box and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open up the Registry Editor with admin access.

2>Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control and click on control.

3>With the Control registry folder selected on the left-hand side, move over to the right-hand section and double-click on ServicesPipeTimeout.

If the entry does not exist , you need to create one.
o do this, click on the Edit menu (or right-click on an empty space) and then choose New > DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it SerivesPipeTimeout before pressing Enter.

4>Next, inside the Properties of ServicesPipeTimeout value, set the Base to Decimal, then type 600000 under Value Data before clicking Ok to save the changes.

5>Reboot PC.
